CityNews – 5th December 2019, officers from Chom Thong office of highways visited the area around highway No. 1009 (Chom Thong – Doi Inthanon Km. 2+750) near the entrance of Chom Thong Industrial and Community College. They found some vendors setting stalls and selling goods along the roadside without permission.
The officers then warned and explained to the vendors about highway act B.E. 2535 in section 38, 44, 45, and 47 which is about controlling roadsides for safety and forbidding the selling or distribution of any items, disposing of garbage, and building stalls along roadsides of highways.
Anyone who violates such regulation will be punished by imprisonment of not more than three months or fined not over five thousand baht or both. Anyone who wants further information can contact highway hotline 1586.
