CityNews – Chiang Mai’s dams are getting critically low.
Mae Ngad Dam, which feeds the Ping River and all who rely on her, is at dangerously low levels resulting in great hardship for the thousands of farmers in the Mae Taeng area as well as downstream.
Nuenghathai Tantiplabtong, Director of the Northern Royal Rainmaking Centre, said that they are unable to make rain at this time due to low humidity in the air, but hopes that the Centre can start sowing rain seeds again when the expected storms arrive between May 10th-15th.
