Rail Service Closed after so many Accidents

CityNews – The rail service between Uttaradit and Chiang Mai will not be available from September 16 – October 31. This comes after thirteen derailments this year. 

Prapat Chongsanguan, Governor of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), was reported on NTT saying that maintenance of the track between Sila-art station in Uttaradit and Chiang Mai will cost around 2.8 billion baht. 

The governor assured the public that after the maintenance there will be no more derailments.
