Police in Chiang Rai Make Two Separate Arrests on Same Day for Ya Ba in Bus Station

CityNews – On 1st July, Chiang Rai Provincial Police Station held a press conference after they arrested two women, Kruewan Srinuan (49) and Pijitra Jahae (33), with 40,000 amphetamine pills in Chiang Rai Bus Station.

 

Police say the women were waiting at platform 18 for the bus travelling from Chiang Rai to Bangkok. The police did a routine search and found four powdered milk boxes containing 40,000 amphetamine pills. The women told police that they had been hired to deliver the drugs to Bangkok for 150,000 baht.

Police arrested another person on the same at the same place, except this time the man was waiting at platform 1 waiting for the Chonburi bus. Maku Mayer (42), was discovered hiding 396 amphetamine pills in his shoes. He said he’d bought the pills from a hill tribe man for 17,000 baht, and that he intended to sell the pills for 150 baht in Chonburi.
