Man might face charges for showing off boa remains while grocery shopping

CityNews – A man showed off his boa remains at the market and is now found to be violating the protected animal laws.

On August 8th at Ban Mae Sa market in Mae Sa, Mae Rim district, an unnamed man showed up with boa remains wrapped around his neck. The man explained that he wanted to condemn the boa which had killed three of his chickens. He is also aware that the boa is a protected animal and after killing it, he reported to police to officially record his reason for the violation.

His public appearance has raised criticism from the public, leading to the charges. The response from the Protected Areas Regional Office 16 confirms that the man is guilty of violating the Wild Animal Reservation and Protection Act. However, he will be charged only if a report has been filed against him.
