CityNews – On 8th October 2019, the body of a man was found in an abandoned movie theatre near Arcade Bus station. Police say that the body was found in a dark room and that a 15cm knife was found next to the body.
The body was believed to have been there between eight to ten hours. Upon further inspection, he was found to have had a wallet on him containing eight thousand baht in cash and an ID card which named him as 65 year old Paibul Polkote who was a collector of recycled goods living in the abandoned cinema.
Witnesses say that they saw him returning from a night of drinking with another person and that was the last they saw of him. Police believe that alcohol may have had a part in this murder and will continue to investigate.
