CityNews – On 11th January 11 a.m. an 18-wheeled truck overturned and then set on fire on the Mae Rim – Samoeng Road killing the driver, Sompian SinghaKote (49).
A rescue team first had to put out the fire before they could get to the body of the man who had already succumbed to the flames. The truck was carrying 45 tons of mineral water from Bangkok to Mae Rim.
An initial report states that the brakes failed on a curve causing the accident.
