CityNews – A Darawittayalai school teacher miraculously escaped from her crushed car with only minor cuts and bruises after a huge branch fell on her vehicle almost completely destroying it.
A lucky lady
Saraphi Police were called to the scene of the accident 13th August at 7.35 a.m. after a large branch had fallen from a Yaang Na tree on Chiang Mai – Lamphun Road (Big Tree Road) and hit a car. Police and a Rescue Team were surprised to find a Nissan car half crushed but the driver, Amnuayphorn Manowong (43), with only slight injuries.
Police report that the branch had fallen after an electricity transformer had exploded next to the tree. The teacher said she heard the explosion and saw the branch falling towards her but she had no time to turn out of the way. She said she will take legal action against who maintains the trees on the road.
