CityNews – 18th March 2020, at 7pm last night, the governor of Chiang Mai went live on air to talk to the people about the looming COVID-19 crisis and what measures Chiang Mai will be taking to mitigate it. The video was streamed live and just on one channel, CM108, has had over a quarter of a million views.

According to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) order:

All entertainment venues (as previously specified by the Royal Decree) will be closed as of now until 1st April 2020. Gyms, spas, massage parlours, karaokes, game shops, fitness centres, theatres, cinemas, kids’ zones in malls, walking streets, racing tracks, boxing stadiums and cockfighting rings [we thought this was illegal already] are all to be closed until the 1st of April.
