CityNews – Benjarong Sukantarot, 19, was arrested at an apartment in Nong Pa Khrang

On September 6th on charges of theft by order of the Chiang Mai Provincial Court. The case was pursued after a Facebook post by Waraporn Singsuwan, a food vendor, complaining that his ice box has been stolen, went viral.

At the apartment, police found over 10 pieces of evidence including foldable tables and clothing racks. The man confessed that he had been stealing these items in hopes of opening his own stall as he cannot afford to buy them by himself. However, he has a record of being arrested for similar misdemeanours in October last year when he was caught stealing five cooking gas tanks.
