A man who appeared to be in his thirties was found dead in the moat just after noon today near Tha Pae Gate. According to a witness, this man was a known homeless man in the area who appeared to have been very intoxicated at the time of death. He was straddling a bicycle and was riding back and forth before heading straight into the moat, said a witness.
He was submerged for many minutes before the rescue service came and found him to be dead.
