CityNews – On 10th December police and soldiers in Lampang announced the arrest of four Chiang Mai men: Yut Inta (27), Worawit Jansiri (31), Pradap Jai-ngern (38), and Pochai Ketnok (25), who were found to be attemping to smuggle 224,000 amphetamine pills from Chiang Mai to Bangkok by bus.
The arrest was made on the 9th December around 11 p.m. The police reported that they had been tipped off to the fact that there would be a group of men smuggling drugs to Bangkok by a bus. They stopped the bus at a checkpoint along the way and looked for them. The officers found the suspicious men and searched their backpacks, finding 112 packs carrying 224,000 pills.
