CityNews – It is the vegetarian festival! If you haven’t noticed, many of your Thai friends are going vegetarian this month and numerous restaurants and food outlets are adjusting their products accordingly.

Ex Governor of Chiang Mai and Prime Minister’s Office Minister ML Panadda Diskul visited Thanin Market to inspect their efforts in supporting the vegetarian festival. He asked vendors whether they had maintained their standards and asked them not to increase their prices because of the festival (13th-21st October).

“I am very happy to have noticed that so many vendors and business owners have been creative enough to produce some very innovative menus. I encourage the public to take these few days a year to really support this great initiative for their health and well being,” said ML Panadda.
