Pol. Maj. Gen. Pacha Rattanapan, the Deputy Chief of Provincial Police Region 5, had ordered the arrest of a gambler who was betting on Euro 2016 soccer games. There are many people financially invested in the Euro 2016 tournament this year that there have been a considerable amount of cases of gambling around the city.
Online gambling has posed as a problem for police, as many gamblers are resorting to social networking websites to make their deals. Police are continuing there efforts to crack down on gamblers both on the streets and online.
