Emergency Landing of Jetstar Pacific in Chiang Mai

CityNews – Jetstar Pacific made an emergency landing at Chiang Mai International Airport on October 2nd after smoke was found in the luggage compartment.

Jetstar Pacific departed from Hanoi heading towards Bodh Gaya with 188 passengers on board. Around 11.30am the pilot decided to make an emergency landing due to smoke in the luggage compartment.

After the landing, all the passengers and their belongings were checked but no cause of the smoke was found. The airport security officers have said that they found nothing but speculate that the smoke could have come from a mobile power bank or other electronic devices which caught fire. The plane continued on its way and arrived safely in Bodh Gaya.
