Don’t miss the Royal Project Fair 2019

CityNews – 11th December 2019, privy councilors relating to royal project foundation, Chiang Mai governor, director of highland and development institute, and academic affair chairman of international conference sent a press release about the upcoming Royal Project fair 2019 (50th year anniversary) to be held between 20th – 24th December 2019 at Royal Park Rajapruek.


There will be two main activities:
First, an international conference on sustainable highland agricultural development (22nd – 24th December 2019), presenting the Royal Project model, a success story of 50 years initiated by former King Bhumibol Adulyadej, to fight poverty, end addiction and mitigate deforestation. The work has been widely accepted world wide to be in accordance with UN sustainable development goals. The conference will also be attended by director of UN office of Drugs and Crime. Proceedings from the conference will be distributed to the 63th conference of UN commission on narcotic drugs to be held in 2020 in Vienna, Austria.
Second, the fair itself is a tribute to former King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit and other royal family members’ work relating to the Royal Project. The fair includes an exhibition to show the continuation of work from the former king to the present king. There will be numerous health produce on sale with some highlights being the new breed of Lingzhi mushrooms and several herbal teas to be launched. Some promotions include various fresh and dried fruits, quinoa, processed shredded black chicken, feta cheese, etc. with fresh produce on sale daily after 6pm. Celebrity chefs, performances, cooking demos and all sorts of activities throughout the event.
