CityNews – 20th March 2020, as part of the ‘Chiang Mai people power against COVID-19’ initiative, Governor Charoenrit Sanguansat and entourage met up at Tha Pae Gate to lead the charge in spraying the city with disinfectant, in order to help mitigate the spread of the virus. Pavements, roads and other public facilities were sprayed across the city.
They also sprayed water round many communities to lessen the PM2.5 particles.
“We want to build confidence in the people in the municipal area that we are doing our best,” said the governor who went on to say that the aim is to regularly spray all roads.
The governor went on to say that there will be city-wide spraying until the situation is resolved. Today, at 10am, there was a meeting on COVID-19 which we will report on soon.
