CityNews – The Deputy Director of the Department of internal Trade, Suchat Sinrat, and his team inspected Chiang Mai Gate Market, examining goods, standards, and prices in the market to check that vendors were trading fairly and maintaining quality.
The inspection concluded that many goods had now gone down in price after the rains have finally come and the drought was over. However, he received comments and complaints from local shoppers that some vendors didn’t display the prices clear enough.
In response to these concerns, he said that upon the next inspection, if vendors are not displaying prices clearly enough they will be punished under trading laws.
