Co-worker shoots man at city intersection

Police were alerted to a shooting yesterday at around 5am when they were informed that a man had checked into a hospital for a bullet wound to the arm.

According to police, the man, 39, was driving a car when a man on a motorbike pulled out a gun and shot at him twice at an intersection. The victim managed to drive away and went straight to hospital to treat his wound.

At 2pm on the same day police announced that they had arrested Sommai Boonair, 49, from Songkhla Province, for the shooting.

Police say that both men worked together at a Southern food restaurant from where the shooter was recently fired. According to police, the shooter had accused the victim of instigating his firing. He admitted that he was the shooter.
