Clean Air event this Sunday at Three Kings Monument

CityNews – Any concerned citizens, Thai and expat, are invited to attend the Chiang Mai Clean Air Event, this Sunday, January 19th, 2020 at Three Kings Monument courtyards, Chiang Mai City Arts and Cultural Centre, Rajdamnern Road, Chiang Mai Old City.  There will be many activities as following.

1. There will be “Reduce Dust” cycling at 7.30 am with the objective to reduce the use of motor vehicles. The route will cover historic sites, temples, and Lanna historical communities. The cycling will be led by the governor of Chiang Mai.

2. Exhibitions to equip the communities for Chiang Mai’s clean air. Booths by the Ministry of Energy, Chiang Mai University, Mae Jo University, and the expat community comprising of hotels which have made great strides to use clean energy and Monsoon Tea, a sustainable year business, Warm Heart Foundation will provide information on the use of clean energy, biochar, air quality measuring device with analysis programmes, etc.

3. Open Forum/Discussion
Meeting room, Chiang Mai Art and Culture Center (The building behind the Three Kings Monument) 11am-Noon: ‘Expat community in Chiang Mai fights the dust’ will be a question and answer session moderated by Citylife Editor-in-Chief Pim Kemasingki and this session will be held in English. Participants are welcome to raise questions and offer recommendations regarding smog problems. We would appreciate receiving your questions beforehand as rime is very limited.
