Chiang Mai Traffic Police Learn Chinese to Reduce Accidents… and Date Chinese Girls?

CityNews – On April 9th a photo shared on Chiang Mai Traffic Police Facebook page showed the public that the traffic police are now learning Chinese.

The basic traffic related phrases include: ‘red light’, ‘left turn’, ‘you are not wearing a helmet’, ‘no U-turn’. Some more relevant phrases include: ‘200 baht’, ‘400 baht’, ‘do you have a driver’s licence?’, and ‘you just ran a red light’.But then the language become less traffic related and more flirtatious with phrases such as:  ‘you’re very beautiful’, ‘you’re cute’, and ‘I love you.’
