CityNews – 25th March 2020, the Chiang Mai International Airport has announced that it has taken even tighter measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

1. When passengers arrive at the arrivals hall they are each handed a document to fill in.
2. Once filled, a member of the security force (police, soldier, volunteers) will check the documents before keeping them.
3. All passengers go through a temperature screen before leaving the terminal.
4. Public Health officials will then hand out information as to what to do and how to self-quarantine for 14 days.

All airlines are to be asked in the future to issue the forms to fill so that there are no queues and waiting lines at the airport.
