Chiang Mai GEOPARK to conserve minerals and natural resources

CityNews – On 18th July at the Tarin Hotel Montree Luengingkasut, the director of the Department of Mineral Resources, held a conference called the ‘Chiang Mai GEOPARK,’ aimed to present their idea for establishing geoparks in Chiang Mai. The geoparks would be located at Tep Panom Hot Springs in Mae Jam district, Pha Wing Chu, and Ob Laung National Park in Hot district.

Dr. Somboon Kositanon, the director of the Bureau of Environment Geology and Geohazards told the press said that Chiang Mai’s natural beauty needed conserving. They are working on plans and an approach strategy to conserve nature and resources under the conservation natural management campaign for sustainable development.
