CityNews – On 11th June, at 9.30 a.m. an investigation unit of Chiang Mai City Police Station arrested Sompong Yuenyongkeereemas (23) after he was caught in a set-up involving 10,000 amphetamine pills at a street rest-house in front of Wat Buppharam in the Mae Rim district. Police also seized a motorcycle and a mobile phone.
Police had earlier been tipped-off that Sompong was selling yaba and so contacted him saying they were also drug dealers and needed 10,000 pills which they would buy for 650,000 baht. When Sompong made the delivery the police arrested him. He later told police that he bought the pills from a Lahu man in the Mae Ai district.
