CityNews – On the dawn of March 28th, police was called to a scene where a body was found drowned in Tam Klab reservoir in Ping Khong, Chiang Dao District.

Eyewitnesses said that Jeeraphun Aikang, a 17-year-old Tai Yai who live in the area, was swimming with a friend to cool down in the summer. He began to flail but his friend was unable to rescue him as the water was so deep.
The body will be kept at Chiang Dao hospital until his family come to get for the funeral.
This is the second death by drowning in just over a month in Chiang Dao, where last month a father died while failing to save his son from drowning.
Aware of the numbers of drowning deaths, especially during the hot season, authorities recently decided to offer free swimming classes to children.
