CityNews – Police checking a Mae Sai bus travelling to Bangkok yesterday discovered almost 2 kilograms of Crystal Meth (Ya Ice) in a passenger?s baggage at the police checkpoint at Kew Tap Yang in the Mae Jan district of Chiang Rai.
36 year old Peerapon Japue was allegedly thought suspicious by police and after checking his luggage, 1934.7 grams of Ya Ice were found packed into food containers.
Peerapon confessed that he was hired to transport the drugs to the Yaowarat area of Bangkok for 50,000 baht.
Officers warned that drug dealers are now using different method of drug transportation, such as packing substances into shoes, sexual organs or food containers.
