CityNews – The Director of Airports of Thailand PCL. (AOT) informed the press of two incidents which showcased the professionalism and honesty of airport authorities.

The director highlighted two recent incidents. The first was on the 23rd of November when officers found a bum bag left near the form filling counter by the international departure. Upon checking the bag, it was discovered to have contained 70,000 Thai baht in cash with a further 200,000 baht in Malaysian ringgits and Singaporean dollars. A receipt in the bag had the name of the passenger and officials managed to find them and return the bag to them before their plane took off.

On the same day, a Chinese passenger had informed officers at the Security Centre at the airport that she had forgotten a bag in her songtaew, containing four passports. Airport authorities, tourist police and all manner of officials came together and finally managed to find the songtaew in question who returned all four passports half an hour before the Chinese party was about the leave.

The Director of AOT says that this is the professionalism and service which his office is proud of and wishes to share these stories with the public.
