Absolutely No Drinking and Driving: Chiang Mai Against Accidents During New Year Festival

CityNews – Chiang Mai has set up operation centres to reduce accidents during the New Year Festival from 27^th December 2013 until 2^nd January 2014.

Wichian Puttiwinyu, Chiang Mai Governor, said Chiang Mai has created six new policies in an attempt to reduce accidents during the New Year Festival: management, law enforcement, society, traffic engineering, PR, and emergency and resuscitation.

Police said they will be very strict about drinking and driving.

The operation is divided into two periods: the preparation will be from 1^st to 26^th December and the intense operation period will be from 27^th December 2013 to 2^nd January 2014.
