CityNews – Mae Sariang faced multiple mudslides.
Due to heavy rains, multiple mudslides occurred along an eight km stretch of the road between Bae Mae La and Ban Mae Pun in Mae Ho, Mae Sariang district. A total of nine mudslides were counted, blocking access to villages along the road, which led one villager from Ban Mae Pun to die due to being unable to access medical help.
On August 28th, the local authority issued a call for aid to clear out the path which is expected to be completed with a day or two if the skies clear. A look out team has also been formed to keep a close eye on the situation.
