CityNews – On 28th June, at 11 a.m. Police Region 5 and police stations in Chiang Mai held a press conference concerning crime and drugs suppression in Chiang Mai, in relation to the ‘Find Criminals’ Home Project’ (rough translation) which started October 2012.
Dealers working with popular brands
From 24th – 27th June, police arrested 485 suspects, and seized 104,706 amphetamine pills, 919 grams of raw opium, 109 grams of marijuana, 21 grams of Ya Ice, two pistols and 20 bullets.
Police Colonel Chamnan Ruadreaw, the deputy commander of Police Region 5, told the press that police arrested two suspected drug dealers in Fang districts with 40,000 amphetamine pills. The pills were packed into black plastic bags with the Apple logo printed on the bags.
