CityNews – Students at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University decided to dress up as Pokemon Go characters as part of public relations during the recent fresher initiation events.
Part of the campaign promotes an alcohol free initiation this year, with students taking part in the usual ‘rub-nong’ activities sober. Over the last few years, bars and clubs have been popular locations in past years but the university is trying to move away from drinking as it leads to drunken behaviour, accidents and financial problems for the first year students.
As a result, this year the university has encouraged a group of seniors to dress up as Pokemon to help promote an alcohol free freshers month along with working as public relations for anyone looking for help or advice.
