CityNews – According to reports, due to the cold weather, Chiang Mai has seen prices of vegetables increase due to a limited harvest in this time.
According to vegetable vendors in Muang Mai market, prices of various vegetables have been increased by a large amount. For example, cowpeas now cost 100 baht per kilogram (normally 20 – 40 baht per kilogram), 10 kilograms of Chinese cabbages cost 120 baht (normally around 60 baht), and 5 kilograms of pak choi now costs 90 baht (normally around 30 – 40 baht).
Until the weather gets warmer, vendors expect the cost of vegetables to remain high.
