Thailand J Food Festival 2026 Brings a Fresh Twist to Vegetarian Dining in Chiang Mai
JOY OF J: A Celebration of Vegetarian Food, Flavours and Fun | 9–18 October 2026
Central Chiang Mai invites food lovers to discover a fresh and exciting take on the annual Vegetarian Festival at Thailand J Food Festival 2026, held from 9–18 October 2026 at the Ground Floor Promotional Area.
Under the theme “JOY OF J – อีทเจให้จอย” (Eat J with Joy), the festival brings together some of Chiang Mai’s favourite vegetarian food vendors, offering more than 100 delicious dishes, including creative plant-based interpretations of popular favourites and exclusive menus available only at the event.
Food highlights include Pa De Roti’s special plant-based minced meat murtabak, Ming Yu’s herbal peach gum dessert and specially prepared double-boiled pear soup, Papa Pops Homemade’s vegetarian lava-filled Chinese pastries, and Little Bao’s plant-based steamed buns and multigrain mantou, alongside many more tempting treats.
Designed to appeal to a new generation of vegetarian food lovers, the festival offers a colourful and contemporary dining experience, complete with a giant vegetarian food installation serving as a fun photo landmark in the heart of the shopping centre.
Visitors can also pay their respects to Guan Yin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, at a special blessing display, inviting good fortune, kindness and happiness throughout the festival.
For those looking to get creative in the kitchen, the J Highlight Workshop will feature vegetarian cooking demonstrations by Chef Oil, Patcharin Kuenkaw, Chef de Partie at Away Chiang Mai Thapae.

– 10 October, 2.30pm: Vegetarian Holy Basil Stir-Fry with Plant-Based Omelette
– 11 October, 2.30pm: Black Pepper Tempeh
