Soldiers from the 7th Infantry Division, along with officials from the Chang Phueak Subdistrict Administrative Organization, went to the area to help villagers clean up the ruins of houses and shops damaged by the pickup truck accident on September 9th. The villagers had not yet received any compensation.

The mayor of the Chang Phueak Subdistrict Administrative Organization admitted he was concerned about how to assist the victims, since the damage was caused by a man-made accident, not a natural disaster.

On September 17th, he will meet with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and the police to discuss further assistance measures for the villagers. Initially, he learned that the PEA might consider providing some support to them.

As for the latest progress in restoring the damaged areas, power poles, wires, and distribution equipment that were affected have already been removed. Electricity Authority officials are preparing to install replacement poles and lighting systems, which are expected to be completed by September 15th.
