Chatlada Sinthuson, Director of the National Museum Chiang Mai, addressed the Chiang Mai provincial press, inviting members of the public and tourists to visit and experience the rich artistic and cultural heritage of Upper Northern Thailand.
In addition to its permanent exhibitions, the museum continues to organise creative activities to promote public engagement and learning. One such event is “Aew Kum Kam Yam Laeng”, taking place from 27th February to 1st March 2026, between 4pm and 8pm, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the museum in a special evening atmosphere.
The museum is also hosting a workshop project for the Upper Northern Region Cultural Heritage Conservation Network for the 2026 fiscal year, scheduled from 26th–28th February 2026 at Khum Kham Luang.
Beyond exhibitions and activities, the National Museum Chiang Mai serves as an academic centre, providing consultation on antiquities, art objects, registration and conservation. It also produces educational content through online platforms to ensure accessible public access to knowledge.
Chiang Mai Province is inviting residents, students and both Thai and international visitors to explore Lanna history and culture up close at the National Museum Chiang Mai — a longstanding learning institution at the heart of the city, ready to welcome all visitors.
The National Museum Chiang Mai is open Wednesday to Sunday (closed Mondays, Tuesdays and public holidays).
