CityNews – The World Environment Day, scheduled for today, June 5th, invites all to join #maskchallenge.
“Nine out of ten people breathe polluted air,” according to a statement on the World Environment Day website. This June 5th everyone is called to join a Facebook challenge to hopefully put this matter front and centre, mobiliasing action worldwide. To raise awareness about air pollution issue, everyone is invited to take a photo of yourself wearing a mask and post it on social media.
The campaign also invites everyone to take some action on the day (at least) to help beat pollution including using public transport, car sharing, cycling or walking for the day, saving energy, separating waste, and whatever we can all do.
