CityNews – Last night, March 21, a bus parked at Lampang bus terminal suddenly accelerated into the seating area inside the terminal, seriously injuring four people.
The bus, a Chiang Mai – Bangkok bus owned by The Transport Co Ltd careered into the seating area after the bus driver claimed he took off the handbrake.
In a clip shared online, the bus can be seen quickly accelerating from a parked position into crowds of people sitting in the pedestrian area of the bus terminal.
Four people were seriously injured, with reports of broken legs and ribs among the injuries.
There was nobody except the driver on the bus at the time.
Police said the incident was caused by the recklessness of the bus driver.
An investigation continues.
