CityNews – Women and allies are invited to join a parade of solidarity organised by a group of Civil Society Organisations in Chiang Mai on March 8, to celebrate International Woman’s Day.
The event invites women and allies of women to meet at the Three Kings Monument at 4pm on Tuesday, march 8.
The march will continue towards Suan Buak Haad, where there will be music, performances by indegnous women and other women’s groups and a collective statement read to all who attend on what International Woman’s Day means to those involved.
The event also will host special guests, author Selma James from the United Kingdom and Nina Lopez from Argentina, who will also partake in learning a dance from One Billion Rising to end the night.
