Gaia Beats Festival, now firmly established as one of Chiang Mai’s favourite music events, will return to Sense Hot Spring Wellness & Spa in Mae On for its second camping edition, running from 22nd to 24th January 2027.
The three-day gathering combines live music with arts and wellness programming, set around the natural hot springs roughly 30 minutes east of the city centre. Genres on offer span house, techno, drum and bass, dub, psy and world sounds, alongside live acts, with the full lineup announced on 5th July.
Gaia Beats operates as a social enterprise, with organisers stating that profits are reinvested into the festival team and into social and environmental projects across northern Thailand rather than distributed to shareholders. At least half of the artists, vendors, suppliers and crew are described as Thai or locally based.

Alongside the music, the festival programme includes yoga, breathwork and creative workshops running throughout the day, plus kids’ zones and craft sessions, with the hot spring bathing areas open to attendees across the weekend. Organisers say the site operates without single-use plastic, using reusable cups and plates, refillable water stations and aluminium cans only, with stages built from upcycled materials.
Tickets are priced on a rising scale, from 2,500 THB for early bird through to 5,000 THB at the door, with camping included free of charge in either a family or general zone. Payment on site is by cash or Thai bank transfer only. A shuttle service will run from Chiang Mai to the venue, with Grab, Bolt and songthaew also able to reach Mae On.
