CityNews – 24th March 2020, Deputy Prime minister Somkid Jatusripitak announced today that all part time workers or workers who do not have social security will be eligible to receive 5,000 baht per month from the government over the next three months. If this sum is not enough they are able to request a further 10,000 baht at 0.01% interest. A fund of 50,000 can also be borrowed per person at 0.35% interest but social security is required to apply for this sum.
Applications are open (though the government web site is not yet ready) from now until the end of April. It is best to contact banks for more info.
