This exciting new board game will immerse players in the rich tapestry of Chiang Mai’s culture, history, and landmarks, and it’s set to take the city by storm.
This evening, the streets of Chiang Mai came alive as the official launch of MONOPOLY: Chiang Mai Edition took centre stage at The Chiang Mai Old Town Hotel. The highly anticipated launch event included an official reveal of the special edition MONOPOLY board by Mr. Monopoly himself! The memorable and successful evening marked the beginning of an exciting journey through the streets of Chiang Mai for board game enthusiasts and Chiang Mai enthusiasts alike.

The new board sees the region’s finest locations passing GO!, from Doi Ang Khang starting your journey around Chiang Mai, Bua Tong Waterfall, Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, Chang Moi Road, all the way to Doi Inthanon, which features on the ‘most expensive’ side of the board on a dark blue space.

In all, more than 30 Chiang Mai places are featured in the game, and many of the Chance and Community Chest cards are themed around the region too. One even sees players enjoying a private rickshaw tour of Chiang Mai’s local landmarks and culture!
MONOPOLY: Chiang Mai Edition and Chiang Mai Top Trumps will be available for purchase at select retail outlets across Chiang Mai following the event, including at Asia Books, Golden Goblin Games, Fizzy, Game Tree, Alurfia in Shelter, Time to Table, The Chiang Mai Old Town Hotel, Panyaden International School, and Unity Concord International School. Whether played by families, friends, or adventurers, the game is set to be a cherished keepsake that captures the essence of Chiang Mai for years to come.
