A video clip featuring cockroaches and garbage strewn on carpets has gone viral, with a tourist writing that Chiang Mai Airport should be awarded the ‘most disgusting airport ever’.
Following the release of the video on Tiktok, AOT authorities have stepped into action and the director of the airport has come out to apologise for ‘shaming Chiang Mai’. The director went on to explain that with current numbers of arrivals on the rise, the cleaning crew, unused to such volume, have been struggling to find times between flights for cleaning.
