Brave Bystander Saves Man From Moat Water After He Was Cut Off By a Reckless Driver

CityNews – A brave foreigner jumped into the moat to rescue a driver who crashed his car into the water at around 11pm on Monday night.

On May 22 at around 11.10pm, a young man lost control of his car, crashing into the moat water after another car recklessly cut into his lane causing him to swerve. The incident occurred near the Northern School for the Blind, near Sri Poom corner.

Mr James Grant, a 61 year old foreigner who was at the scene immediately parked his motorbike and jumped into the water to help the driver out of the car before it sunk.

Rescue teams were called and the unnamed driver was sent to a nearby hospital.

Police have collected CCTV evidence and are investigating the cause of the crash, and are trying to identify the driver who cut the victim off.
