Authorities clear out waterfall vendors on Doi Inthanon

Each year villagers living near the Wang Muang and Wang Kwai waterfalls on Doi Inthanon National Park have set up temporary stalls by the waterfall in summer. This usually happens around this time of the year and lasts for a month or so until the rains.

This year, authorities have just raided and cleared out all of these vendors over concerns of criticism of encroaching on national park land.

What do you think about this all? Should villagers be able to make a few baht illegally by their neighbourhood waterfall? Or. Should they follow the law like everyone else and authorities are quite right to clamp down?
