The Fine Arts Department says that it will take some time to sift through the detritus left from the fallen Chedi at Wat Sri Suphan, which dates to 1500.

To date, except from rubble, the department says that it has found some amulets, eroded pieces of metal with script, and other artefacts which they have yet to date. At this point they are unsure how old each layer of the Chedi was and will have to remove potential valuable pieces for study.

Rumors that a silver pagoda will be built in place of the fallen Chedi are untrue, said a representative.
