CityNews – Two yaba mules were arrested by Pha Muang Military after a village was raided in Chiang Dao’s Muang Na sub-district following tip offs that drugs had been hidden in the village.
Police arrested 31-year-old Toon Lungta and his son-in-law 32-year-old Boonta Kamman, and seized 160,000 yaba pills, a gun, 41 bullets, a pickup and four motorcycles.
The drugs were found in the house that Toon and Boonta were living.
Toon admitted to possession of illegal drugs and told police that he had got the narcotics from a Lahu man named Aong, and was to transfer it to customers in the Chiang Dao area.
He brought the drugs for 6 million baht.
The son-in-law, Boonta, told police he had no idea his father-in-law had purchased or stored the drugs in the house they both lived in.
The investigation is ongoing.
