Hundreds of expatriates were seen at McCormick Hospital today, as the first non-Thai nationals receive their Covid-19 shots.

Following online registration, many fortunate expatriates, most over the age of 70, received an appointment for their Sinovac vaccine.

Only people who have yet to receive a single dose of the vaccine were eligible. Similar to elderly Thais who previously registered for the vaccination, while the first doze of the vaccine is Sinovac, the second is to be Astra Zeneca which will be administered in three weeks.

The administration of the vaccination went smoothly, according to many reports, and many praised officials for their efficiency.

If you receive an SMS alert for the vaccine, please read all instructions carefully and turn up at the appointed time and place.

According to the director of the hospital, nearly 1,500 people are eligible for the vaccine this time round. The hospital aims to administer 270-300 doses per day.

He went on to say that if anyone feels as though they should have been on this list, or if they no longer wish to receive a vaccination, they are asked to please contact the hospital.
