28 days virus-free, Chiang Mai out of red zone

The Covid-19 Emergency Operating Centre Chiang Mai (EOC) under the Public Health Office happily announced today that Chiang Mai has had zero new cases of Covid-19 patients for 28 days which means that we have been removed from the red zone and now sit safely in the designated yellow zone.

In total Chiang Mai saw 41 patients with the virus, with one patient who was already in hospital with terminal illness catching the virus and dying. A total of 24,058 have returned or come to Chiang Mai from outside the province in the past 28 days. Of this number, 22,439 have been checked up upon and cleared. From that number 362  have come from Phuket, with 87 still in home quarantine and two in government quarantine.
