Chiang Mai Governor Reassigned

CityNews – The Governor of Chiang Mai is reassigned one year shy of his term.

On April 24th, a cabinet resolution approved the reassignment of 12 government officers. Among them are Pawin Chamniprasert, the current governor of Chiang Mai who is reassigned to The Office of the Permanent Secretary in Bangkok, while Chiang Mai’s new governor will be Supachai Iamsuwan.

Pawin Chamniprasert has served in this position since October 2015.

Supachai, a native of Chiang Mai, was a former deputy governor of Chiang Mai between December 2014 and September 2015 before he was assigned as Phayao’s Governor on October 2015.
