Ancient Lanna festival in Chiang Mai at Wat Chedi Luang. The temple is home to the ‘Pillar of the City’: a totem used in ancient Thai fertility rites. This traditional Buddhist ceremony honours the image of ‘Phra Chao Fon Saen Ha,’ which is believed to possess the power to induce rain and produce fertile agricultural grounds. The ceremony will be followed by a fair at the temple.

Rotary Club of Chiang Mai West will hold a charity fundraiser Khantoke Dinner at the Khantoke Palace on Chang Klan Road. The dinner is June 4th from 6.30 p.m. until 9 p.m.. There will be performances by students of Wat Ban Laow School and Dara Academy. Also dancers from Khantoke Palace will perform. Funds raised will be used for improvements at the Wat Ban Laow School in Mae Tang District. Ticket price is 600 baht.
